Casa das Peles is a company founded in 1961, initially operating under the personal name of its founder, Miguel Martins da Silva, although it was known as Casa das Peles. When it first opened, it operated in a 200 m2 space on National Road No. 3 (where it cut, manufactured, and sold leather clothing), boasting a prime location, as this road was the main connection between Santarém and Lisbon at the time. |

In 1991, the expansion of distribution and sales began with the opening of two stores: one in Caldas da Rainha and another in Vila Nova de Gaia, in what is now Continente Shopping Center. In 1992, a third store opened in Leiria, also in the gallery of the Continente Shopping Center. In 1995, the chosen location was in the capital, in what is now Continente Shopping Center in Telheiras. In 2000, another store opened in the Cascais Marina. In 2002, a store opened in Almada Fórum, and that same year, a store opened in Coimbra at Retail Parque Mondego. Expansion continued in 2004 in Batalha, at the Rino e Rino Shopping Center, and in Lisbon. About five years later, a store opened at The Style Outlet in Vila do Conde, a store at Arrábida Shopping Center in Vila Nova de Gaia, and a store at the Campo Pequeno Leisure Center. Today, the stores remain open in Vila do Conde, Vila Nova de Gaia, Coimbra, now in Baixa (Rua Ferreira Borges), Caldas da Rainha, Lisbon, Almada, Cascais, and the store in Cartaxo. The company now has locations throughout the country, aiming to reach all its customers. |
